Medivet Sherwood is part of the Medivet group (a corporate veterinary provider). Based on owner reports, the team is often dealing with routine preventive care (annual vaccinations and flea treatment) as well as in-clinic procedures like dental work, and they’re set up to handle nervous or reactive pets with extra time and desensitisation-style visits. Owners also describe staff recognising them and their pets by name, and a “team effort” approach around procedures such as a dog dental.
The wider Medivet website also states access to 24-hour emergency care via one of Medivet’s emergency centres, with a nationwide overnight emergency consultation fee of £130 (7pm–9am).

Great practice all the staff are lovely and caring. I know my cat is well looked after here when I have had to leave her for treatment. I would highly recommend them.

Amazing team effort from start to finish. Rachel and Nikki made me feel at ease living my doggie in their care for her dental. Dot and I are very grateful and thank you!

Leo is our house rabbit and is a bit reluctant to be handled too much, the surgery weighed him on the floor scale and checked him over really sensitively (including clipping of his nails which we can’t get near when we do handles him).

Morena is the most patient, kind, friendly vet I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. My little dog Dougal is extremely frightened of the vets and on a recent appointment with Morena she treated him with so much kindness and patience it really made me feel assured he was under the best care available. I can't recommend Medivet's Sherwood highly enough. Each and everyone of the staff are exceptional!

As ever , we were greeted warmly by name and the staff knew my cats' names . We were seen punctually by a vet. who was excellent with the cats - and she found time to discuss their progress as she gave them a check up , their annual vaccinations, and flea treatment . It is always a pleasure to visit Medivet - they are all interested in my cats , are cordial, efficient and very pleasant .When the practice was taken over by Medivet , I admit to feeling rather anxious about an anonymous company taking over the care of my beloved cats . However , my fears were groundless , I am happy to report, as the staff are outstanding in their care and expertise . I recommend them wholeheartedly.

My little chihauhau is a very reactive dog but on his first visit he was put at ease and must of felt safe as he did not react at all. The vet was super with gentle with him to the point where she was even able to stroke him. Absolutely amazed 👏

Love the vets here they are so nice and always have the time to give my fur babies a fuss and tickle before we go.

I've been so impressed with the care offered to my boxer puppy. She is super high energy and HATED going to the vets after her leg broke when she was 15 weeks old. Since, she hasn't been able to receive her top-up jabs and I had a huge amount of troubles with my previous vets - completely lacking compassion and customer service. Since changing to Medivet Sherwood, they have been nothing but accommodating and understanding; offering desensitisation visits to get her used to the rooms/needles/vets. She has always been made a fuss of from the moment she walks through the door and today she finally got her first dose with absolutely no problems at all.
