One of those "dog unwell, can't work out why" issues. The dog is generally well, so this is a bit unusual. She was seen promptly (same day) and a bunch of tests done. Good care. Only quibble is the bill at the end....quite a bit more than we'd have assumed. Some earlier warning would have been appreciated.

If I can give 0 or even less it will be the best feedback for them. I am deeply heartbroken and extremely disappointed with the care my cat Luna received at The Pet Vet. Luna was brought in shortly after giving birth, showing concerning symptoms including lethargy, vomiting, weakness and very pale gums. Despite this, no further diagnostic tests were carried out, and I was reassured and sent home. Sadly, Luna’s condition deteriorated and she passed away shortly after. What I find particularly distressing is the way this situation has been handled afterwards. The practice has not taken responsibility for the concerns raised, and the explanations provided do not reflect what I experienced or reported at the time. There are also inconsistencies in the medical records provided at different stages, with important information missing or only acknowledged later. This experience has been extremely traumatic, and I am still struggling to come to terms with the loss of my pet. UPDATE Following my review, I have now received a response, which appears to be a generic statement confirming that everything was done “correctly”. I am very disappointed, as this appears to be a standard response rather than a genuine attempt to understand what happened. Saying that everything was done “correctly” does not change the fact that my cat, Luna, is no longer here. I do not believe this has been investigated in a truly fair or impartial way. I will be escalating this further.

An appointment was fixed quickly. Staff were friendly and professional. The vet was thorough and prescribed appropriate medication. Lola has now fully recovered from her infected rat/smake bite.

Recently had to take my dog for an eye surgery here as my normal vets couldn't do the procedure he needed, found the whole experience extremely easy from start to finish, the I felt the staff genuinely care for your pet's needs and the standard of care is extremely high, post operation information was excellent on caring for him at home , also financially they were significantly cheaper than other quotes I had received, keep up the good work , especially Hilal who got my boys eye fixed

Today I had the most amazing experience with The pet vet Bilborough. I brought my very nervous nala to have her teeth done and they went above and beyond to accommodate her, allowed me to sit with her pre and post op to keep her calm and relaxed, constantly had the team checking on us. the vets and nurses were so good with her, getting on her level and letting her take her time to come to them and did not rush her. I could not of asked for a better experience. every single member of staff i interacted with was so lovely and friendly and they seemed genuinely supportive of nala and wanted the same care and experience for her that I as her owner would want. I came here due to the dental offer but will definitely be moving here and highly recommend. i’ve been to a few vets now and have never found they understand nervous dogs or want the genuine best thing for the animal but these guys definitely do treat them as their own. thank you so much guys ❤️
